Dr Beth Spacey

Beth Spacey is an Associate Lecturer at The University of Queensland. She is a historian of medieval Europe and the Mediterranean region, with research interests in the Latin Christian narratives of the crusades, especially ideas about miracles, nature, and gender. She completed her PhD at the University of Birmingham in 2017. Her first book, The Miraculous and the Writing of Crusade Narrative was published by Boydell & Brewer in 2020. She has served on the Parergon Early Career Committee (2020–2022) and is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (since 2021).
Beth was elected to the ANZAMEMS committee in 2023.
